Vivito, the largest wine cooperative in Tuscany, is the reality that brings together two wineries that are deeply rooted in the area. Cantina Sociale di Certaldo, the first producer of Vernaccia di San Gimignano, and Colline del Chianti di Poggibonsi into which the historic Cantina di Geggiano had already merged. Any numbers? More than 105,000 quintals of grapes processed and a production value of 12.5 million euros for a total of about 700 members, 30 employees and 1,700 hectares of vineyards. The production of Vivito (acronym of Vini di Viticoltori Toscani) ranges from the Florentine and Sienese Chianti area to the Grosseto Maremma.

The family and history
VIVITO was born in January 2021 from the signing of the merger deed which makes the company born from Cantina Sociale di Certaldo and Cantina Colline del Chianti operational, to which are added the Cantina di Geggiano-Pontignano and the Tenimenti le Certane, previously incorporated. A productive reality that has its roots in a vast territory, from Geggiano-Pontignano (SI) in the Chianti Classico, up to Empoli (FI), passing through San Gimignano (SI) and the entire Val D'Elsa. At the gates of Chianti Classico, the Vivito di Poggibonsi winery regenerates itself by projecting itself into a functional and more representative future. The cellar decides to expand, to strengthen, to transform itself to better serve its customers. The architectural project therefore provides for a functional modernization of the entire complex. The works envisage a new arrangement of the premises and related functions, an increase in the surface area for storage and the creation of a new "tasting" area dedicated to the administration and direct sale of the company's products.
