Over 150,000 vines in 140 km of rows in 45 hectares of vineyards of seven native grape varieties covered at least 10 times in the annual work cycle in the vineyard. 322 meters above sea level in full sun from sunrise to sunset: ideal atmospheres for good maturation. Variety of soil characteristics ranging from sea sands to clayey marls, ideal for generating the typicality of the wines produced. Different microclimates, from the cool breezes and spring rains to the hot humid summers, from the mists of autumn to the snow of the long winters where the vineyard finally rests. Each grape variety finds its ideal soil and climate in our properties: and it is there, in fact, in the vineyard, that a great wine is born.

The family and history

Grandpa Tumlìn used to say that in 1964, planting the first vineyard, he had felt a strong emotional transport and possession towards his land together with the pride of continuing the tradition of his ancestors whose roots date back to 1837: a precious legacy of ancient wisdom, experience and art that Tumlìn has handed down to our parents, to us and still to our children. He taught us to listen to the seasons by lovingly observing the branches, vine leaves and bunches, almost caressing them in their growth rhythms. He passed on to us the patient peasant industriousness that knows how to confidently await the reward of effort from friendly nature. Past and future coexist in the company today at the helm with Gianluca, Daniele, Alessio, Romano and Margherita.
