Our cooperative society is an artisan reality located in Abruzzo, in the Costa dei Trabocchi area. It consists of more than 300 hectares of vineyards and about 150 winegrowers participate in it. The grapes we work are mainly made up of the red Montepulciano d'Abruzzo; among our whites there are Pecorino, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Cococciola, Chardonnay, Moscato and Passerina. We pursue the goal of obtaining ever better products, optimizing production technologies and respecting tradition. We choose never to exceed in the use of wood and not to resort to extreme technologies, entrusting the quality of our wines only to the grapes and their processing.

The family and history

The winery was born in Rocca San Giovanni, in the heart of the Costa dei Trabocchi, with the first harvest taking place in 1971, thanks to the initiative of numerous winemakers in the area. The name San Giacomo derives from the country church located a few steps from the cellar and dedicated to the saint. Since the foundation we have resolutely sought the quality of our wine, so much so that the bottles of Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo of that vintage are still kept in our premises
underground, despite the years. We have been artisans of Abruzzo wine for over 50 years. We produce Abruzzo wine looking to the future, but in our bottles there is the flavor of tradition. We cultivate the typical vines of our area: Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Pecorino, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Cococciola, Chardonnay, Moscato and Passerina.
