White Sangria is a white wine-based cocktail that is easy to prepare, fruity and very refreshing. Perfect in this heat!
What wine to use for white Sangria?
- Don't choose a cheap wine, wine is the main ingredient in this recipe;
- Choose seasonal fruit: it will be sweeter and tastier. Get them organic or unprocessed if possible (especially when leaving the skin);
- Prepare the Sangria a few hours in advance (the day before is even better);
- Have ice cubes handy when serving.
White Sangria, the recipe with Sauvignon Blanc
Preparing white Sangria is really simple.
Ingredients
-
75cl of white wine ( sauvignon blanc )
-
30 cl lemonade (or lemon Schweppes)
-
50 g of brown sugar
-
1 cinnamon stick
-
1 vanilla pod (or 1 vanillin sachet)
-
2 peaches
-
2 limes
-
2 oranges
-
1 apple
-
5-10 strawberries or raspberries
-
Sprigs of rosemary to taste
Method
-
Squeeze one lime and the other, cut into quarters;
-
Wash and cut the rest of the fruit;
-
In a jug or salad bowl, put all the ingredients (except the lemonade and rosemary). Amalgamate everything and leave to macerate for a few hours until overnight. Depending on the maceration time, remove the lemon wedges before the end to prevent them from releasing bitterness;
-
Add the cold lemonade at the last moment, mix everything together and serve cold with ice cubes and a sprig of rosemary.
