2. Côtes du Rhône
It is a regional appellation of the Rhône Valley and produces structured, round and fruity red wines, but also aromatic and fresh whites and fine and fruity rosés . For the sake of homogeneity, winemakers have imposed rules on their blends, with a minimum proportion of black Grenache for red and rosé wines, and Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Marsanne, Clairette, Roussane and Bourboulenc for whites. Red wines are perfect to accompany meats, cold cuts, oriental cuisine and hot and spicy foods.
3. Fitou Rocflamboyant Rouge
It is an appellation of the Languedoc . The production area is the Corbières enclave. The red wine that is produced is assembled from at least 70% of the main varieties Carignan Noir and Grenache Noir, and possibly Mourvèdre and Syrah. Languedoc Fitou is light and fruity, perfect to accompany roasted or grilled meats, both red and white.
